Privacy statement
Last updated: 16 August 2026
This privacy statement explains how Wakeel handles the personal data you share with us through this website (wakeel.nl). We deliberately keep it short and readable.
Wakeel coordinates, manages and refers you to the right parties — we do not perform regulated services ourselves. In everything we do, we handle your data carefully and collect no more than we need.
Who is responsible
The party responsible for processing your data is:
WakeelKVK: 42117178BTW-id: NL869806877B01Lylantse Plein 1, 2908 LH Capelle aan den IJsselinfo@wakeel.nlWhat we collect and why
We only collect personal data that you actively share with us:
- Contact form: your name, business name (optional), email address, phone number (optional), preferred language and message — so we can answer your question.
- Spam protection: when you submit the form, Cloudflare Turnstile runs an automated check to confirm you are not a bot.
- Website statistics and performance: we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics and page-speed measurement (Vercel) that do not identify you personally and do not track you across websites.
Legal basis
We handle your message on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR/AVG). You can object to this at any time — see 'Your rights' below.
If your enquiry leads to us working together, we process what is needed to enter into and perform that agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR/AVG).
The spam check and the website statistics rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR/AVG).
Filling in the contact form is voluntary — you are under no obligation to provide this data. Without your name, email address and message, though, we cannot answer your question.
How long we keep your data
We keep the data from your message until twelve months after our last contact about your question, then delete it. Would you like it removed sooner? Email us and we will.
If you become a client, the data that belongs to that relationship forms part of our client administration. We keep that for seven years, because Dutch tax law requires us to (Article 52 of the General State Taxes Act).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We work with a small number of carefully chosen providers who process data on our behalf, solely to deliver their service to us:
- Resend — delivers the email generated by the contact form to us.
- Vercel — hosts this website and provides the cookieless statistics.
- Cloudflare — provides the Turnstile spam check.
Where your data goes
Some of the providers above are based in the United States, so handling your message can involve transferring personal data outside the European Economic Area.
Those transfers take place under the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or under its standard contractual clauses. Email us and we will tell you which safeguard applies to a specific provider and send you a copy.
Cookies
This website uses no tracking or advertising cookies, which is why you see no cookie banner. The Turnstile spam check may store a temporary, functional token that is needed to protect the form.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (AVG) you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected or completed;
- have it deleted;
- restrict or object to its processing;
- receive a copy in a portable format.
Exercising your rights and complaints
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address above; we respond within the statutory period.
If you have a question about your data or are unhappy with how we handle it, please contact us first — we are glad to help. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
